The default directory for your Wavebank should be a folder called “Win” in your Documents folder. Highlight your files if you only want to compress some of them. – Go back to your Wavebank and select your Compression Preset. Has to do with temporary files not being able to go over 2GB? I don’t know how to create a Wavebank over 2GB. More samples per block = more compression. The Original Wavebank uses ADPCM encoding at 128 samples per block I believe, since it comes out to the same file size using the same tracks. – Right click Compression Preset > New Preset – Drag and drop all 10,522 files into the Wavebank window – Set type to “Streaming” (This is very important, or else the game will crash after Intro.) Right-click Compression Preset > New Preset.Drag and drop all 10,522 files into the Wavebank window.Set type to “Streaming” (This is very important, or else the game will crash after Intro.).Go to > Program Files (x86)\Microsoft XNA\XNA Game Studio\v4.0\Tools When in-game it will respect the Loop Point when it first reaches “End”. Bring the Start and End to where you want and double-click inside the Loop Area, then File > Save. Open up Wavosaur with the Track you want. If you extract and rebuild the Wavebank, all the Loop Points for the BGMs will be broken, and of course, non-existent for tracks you use to replace. If you are lazy / don’t care, you can skip the next step. (15 minutes for me on an i7 2600k at around ~23% CPU usage)Īfter that is done you are almost ready to rebuild the Wavebank. – Drag and Drop all 10,522 files into the Window Unfortunately with the original Wavebank, the WAVs are already compressed via XACT. You can ironically only insert uncompressed WAVs (PCM). Convert File Formatsīefore you can rebuild the Wavebank, you have to make the WAVs insertable into XACT3. World Map BGM must be named 00000001, Main Battle BGM must be named 0000000e, etc. Remember, any files you edit or replace must have the same file name to keep them listed in order. Pretty easy to find what you are looking for if they are not Voice Clips. Music files start at the beginning with Main Title, World Map BGM, Dungeon BGMs, Battle BGMs, Event BGMs. Now your folder should be listing the files in order, like this: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > File Explorer (Windows Explorer for older versions of Windows?)ĭouble-click “Turn off numerical file sorting” and check “Enabled”.With the sidebar on the left side of the window It’s going to be a mess if you rebuild the Wavebank with the files out of order. Windows by default will sort all of the tracks out of order. Go to your unXWB folder and drag and drop SOUND.xwb onto unxwb.exe and select an Output Folder. Make a backup of the appropriate Wavebank. SOUND_S.xwb – SFX files? (unextractable?).SOUND.xwb – Music and Japanese voice files. It installs a file needed to install XNA Gamestudio.
